Sonakshi Sinha, seen in the recently released Netflix series ‘Heeramandi’, is getting an apperception to play the role of Fareedan. People love her bold performance. She has been in the film industry for about 14 years; she debuted in 2010 with Salman Khan’s ‘Dabangg’. She talked in a recent interview about not doing any intimate or kissing scenes. She said I make my stance clear on what I am comfortable doing on screen, and this is my 15th film in which I am doing it without any intimate or kissing scenes.

In an interview with ETimes, the interviewer asked whether it is difficult to maintain and whether it means losing some opportunities. She laughed and reacted by saying it is my 35th film and I am still working here, and a good actor always gets work. In addition, she said I don’t think in my entire life I have missed out on anything that has had a kissing or intimate scene.
I always make sure to clarify with my director or filmmaker with whom I am working that I am not comfortable doing certain things and that they are free to find someone else who is comfortable doing those things. However, if they still wish to work with me and, as an actor, they believe that I bring value to the film, then I will do the film but find a way around the issue while also confirming that my comfort level is maintained.
In a continued talk with ETimes, she reveals that after ‘Heeramandi, she now feels more confident as an as an actor. She replied, “Yes. It was a very grueling set, and Sanjay Leela Bhansali, sir, knows how to challenge and push you to find the best version of yourself. Further, she said I worked with an amazing cast of women, and I learned many things from them.
In Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar, she played the role of Rehana and Zulfikar’s daughter, Fareedan Jaan, who was the lover of Wali Bin Zayed-Al Mohammed. Sonakshi shared the screen with Manisha Koirala, Aditi Rao Hydari, Sanjeeda Sheikh, Sharmin Segal Mehta, Richa Chadha, Taha Shah Badussha, and Shekhar Suman.
Sonakshi Sinha’s Upcoming Projects
After the success of Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar, Sonakshi will be seen in the upcoming horror-comedy drama Kakuda, directed by Aditya Sarpotdar and written by Avinash Dwivedi and Chirag Garg. After that, she will come with another horror film, Nikita Roy and the Book of Darkness, directed by Kussh Sinha, with Sonakshi Paresh Rawal and Arjun Rampal also seen in lead roles.
