Richa Chadha is getting praised for her role as Lajjo, who is a desperate and drunken character in ‘Heeramandi: The Diamond Baazar’, which is a Netflix series directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Recently, she has shown disagreement with the statement of Nora Fatehi that women “should be nurturers.”
Richa Chadha’s Disagreement with Nora Fatehi’s ‘Women Are Nurturers’
Richa Chadha is from Amritsar, Punjab, and she is known for her straightforward statements. In a recent interview with Puja Talwar, she sincerely shared her views on feminism and highlighted the significance of feminism.
She explains how feminism helps women make their choices, fulfill their dreams, and have the freedom to make their careers where they want, dress up according to their choices, and have the right to travel across the world. The best part of feminism is that it accepts those who want the benefit of feminism but do not accept that they are feminists; moreover, she gives credit to feminism as well as those who decide that women should be treated equally and have control over their decisions.
Furthermore, she disproved the misunderstanding about feminism, which is usually misunderstood as a revolutionary movement from the late ’60s, rather than feminism being based on equality and empowerment, which gives equal opportunity to women.
Richa Chadha disagreed with the idea that certain roles are only for men or women. She used lion families as an example, where both parents help raise their young. She said that responsibilities should be shared equally, just like in nature. She mentioned that when a lion cub is born, both parents take care of it without focusing on traditional gender roles. She expressed surprise that people still believe women should act a certain way and not others.

Nora Fatehi: What About Feminism?
That all started when Nora Fatehi appeared on The Ranveer Show, a podcast hosted by Ranveer Allahbadia. On that podcast, she shared her opinion on feminism. She said that she did not believe in this, but I think that our society has been entirely ruined by the impact of feminism, and plenty of men have now also been brainwashed by the feminist era. Nora Fatehi supports traditional gender roles where men function as providers and protectors, and women are seen as nurturers.
