The driver of the car lost the control and the car stuck the divider, after being hit by a bus which rammed into the car killing the actress on the stop.
Several other people including have sustained heavy injuries and were rushed to the hospital but the actress could not be saved.
The accident happened near Mehboob Nagar in Hyderabad. Apparently the passengers were returning to Hanakere in Karnataka.
Pavitra Jayaram hailed from Hanakere, Mandya and started her career from Robo family TV show.
She gained fame in "Trinayani" as "Tilothama" and did other shows like Neeli, Radharamana, Jokali, etc.
