Salman Khan firing case: Anuj Thapan who supplied weapons to the accused,dies commits suicide in police custody

Anuj Thapan has died. Anuj had tried to commit suicide in police custody. After this he was taken to the hospital, where it was found that he died. Anuj was accused of supplying weapons to the miscreants who fired outside Salman Khan’s house.

Accused Anuj committed suicide in the bathroom of the crime branch lockup. For this he used a carpet cloth. He committed suicide by hanging himself from the bathroom window. The CCTV footage from the lockup to the entrance of the bathroom is under police surveillance. But there is no surveillance inside the bathroom where he hanged himself.

He was arrested in arms supply case

A week ago, the police took action and arrested two accused from Punjab. These included 37 years old Sonu Subhash Chandra and 32 years old Anuj Thapan. According to the information, Anuj was in contact with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. He works as a truck helper. Mumbai Crime Branch recovered a pistol and some live cartridges from Surat’s Tapi river. The branch claims that these were the same weapons that were used for the firing at Salman Khan’s house on April 14. According to the police these weapons were supplied by Anuja and Subhash. Anuj and Subhash had provided two country made pistols and cartridges to the accused Vicky and Sagar who fired on March 15.
