On 3 October 2021, Munmun was arrested by the NCB Narcotics Control Bureau along with Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan and Arbaaz Merchant in the Mumbai cruise drug case. And it was told that they were partying on the cruise and at a short distance from the ship, the Narcotics Bureau officials seized the drugs.
She was arrested along with Nirmit Singh, Mohan Jaiswal, Gomit Chopra and Vikrant Chukar. Later when full action was taken against this case, it was revealed in the court that 5 grams of drugs were recovered from Munmun which she had collected in a 5 star hotel in Mumbai. And after being arrested, Munmun and all the other accused were kept in custody for 7 days.
