The hoarding collapsed on 13th May and got viral on social media the same day. Many users prayed for the people deceased in the incident and wished speedy recovery for the injured.
The ad agency who installed the billboard, its owner Bhavesh Bhinde Pvt Ltd has been arrested from Rajasthan who was residing in a hotel in Udaipur.
The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) revealed that the billboard was constructed without their permission and apparently collapsed due to its weak foundation.
Bhavesh Bhinde who has already been alleged in 23 criminal cases constructed this hoarding without due attention. The hoarding was also registered in the Limca Book of Records as the largest billboard measuring 17,040 sq feet but could not sustain the heavy winds and dust storm.
The speed of the winds was reported to be more than 100 kmph and the atmosphere was rather dry than the usual humid weather. This type of weather was seen previously in January 2022 in Mumbai and was the first of its kind this season in Delhi.
Mumbai and Delhi, 1500 km apart, still faced the same dust storm with extremely high winds caused due to cold winds assisted by the rising hot winds caused by the relentless heating of land for 4-5 days.
Kartik Aaryan attended the funeral of his relatives on 16th May, Thursday, following their death. He is awaiting the release of his upcoming movie meanwhile directed by Kabir Khan, “Chandu Champion” which be released on June 14, and the trailer will be released in his hometown in Gwalior.
