Madhya Pradesh High Court sends legal notice to Kareena Kapoor Khan
A notice was issued by Justice Gurpal Singh Ahluwalia from the Madhya Pradesh High Court on a petition filed by advocate Christopher Anthony to take legal action against Kareena Kapoor and the book’s sellers. The advocate also demanded a ban on the book’s sale. The court asked for an answer from the actor-author Kareena Kapoor Khan for the reason behind why she used the word “bible” in her book’s title.
Advocate alleges Kareena’s book hurts Christian sentiments
Christopher Anthony is a social worker from Jabalpur who filled out a petition by claiming that the “Bible is the holy book of Christianity all over the world, and Kareena Kapoor uses the Bible word in her book’s title; it is a wrong comparison with the holy book, and that is hurtful to the sentiments of the Christian community. He also claimed that she uses cheap advertising tactics for her book, Kareena Kapoor Khan’s Pregnancy Bible.
According to the reports, the book was published in 2021, and the first advocate approached the police to file a complaint against the author, but police officials refused to register a complaint. After that, he reached out to the court, and his petition was rejected by the court because he failed to establish how the use of the word “bible” in the title was offensive. He then tried to move out to another session of court, but his petition was rejected again.
