Reason behind banning the film
Film “Hamare Barah” was about to be released on 7th of June 2024. But Mumbai High Court Mumbai Postponed the release of the film from 7th of June to 14th of June. The Mumbai High Court postponed the release of the film after a petition filed by a person from Pune. After the release of the trailer Annu Kapoor got a lot of threats. He met with Maharashtra CM Shinde on Monday. The story of people of a particular religion is going to be shown in this film in which women are being tortured in the name of religion. They are subjected to force and Pressure to produce children.
After the release of the trailer of the film, negative thoughts started coming in people’s mind and they commented that the trailer of the film is quite disturbing and it can spoil the minds of our generation. This can have a bad effect on the minds of our future generation and can poison their minds.
Annu Kapoor’s statement
“People always keep talking about propaganda. But it doesn’t matter to me. I requested people to first go and watch the film and then decide. I don’t know why people are judging the film without watching it?”
