A Constable Suspended For Kissing and Hugging Singer Zubeen Garg During The Concert

Assamese singer Zubeen Garg is well known for his hit song Ya Ali from the Gangster film, featuring Emraan Hashmi, Kangana Ranaut, and Shiney Ahuja. Recently, Zubeen got into an awkward situation at a concert when a female constable rushed to the stage and started kissing him.

Zubeen Garg was recently performing in concert on May 10, 2024, in Dibrugarh, Assam. It was a part of Basant Utsav” (Bihu Celebration) and organized by Juba Eikya Mancha in Chabua. One video is going viral on the internet from the singer’s show.

In that video, a female home guard constable whose name is Milliprabha Chutia gets on the stage, and after that, she is seen kissing, hugging, and touching the singer’s feet in the middle of his show. The singer stayed calm during the situation.

Later, the constable who was posted at Chabua Police Station in the Dibrugarh district was suspended by the police department for unsuitable behavior.

Reactions to a Viral Video

After that video went viral on social media platforms, the constable was criticized for his behavior. A user wrote that “it was an “appropriate decision by Assam police,” and another wrote that “she was in uniform on duty but didn’t know the protocols.”  One user commented that “she should not come on the stage in uniform.” Another user wrote, “When you are in a certain profession, you should know how to control emotion.” However, some users took the side of the constable by commenting on behalf of her, “It is a wrong decision by the police official. She should not have been suspended,” and one user wrote, “She was just showing love toward the singer.”
