Kareena Kapoor has defeated Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Jawan’ on the OTT platform and became the most-watched movie of the second half of the year on Netflix India.
Everyone’s attention is on Shah Rukh Khan’s action thriller-packed ‘Jawan’, which dominates Netflix India and is maintaining its position in the second half of 2023. It was defeated by Jaane Jaan, a mystery thriller and debut film of Kareena Kapoor Khan along with Vijay Varma and Jaideep Ahlawat, released on September 21, 2023, on Netflix, which topped the list.
As per the official report, Kareena Kapoor’s ‘Jaane Jaan’ got 20.2 million views globally and took the number one position on Netflix India in the second half of the year, beating Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Jawan’. It also ranked in the in the 83rd position and grabbed the global most-watched title.
Jaane Jaan is a mystery thriller film directed by Sujoy Ghosh and features Kareena Kapoor, Vijay Varma, and Jaideep Ahlawat. It is based on the story of a single mother who gets involved in a murder, and her neighbor helps her cover up her crime from the police investigation. Its mind-blowing, twisting plots and strong story are loved by the audience, making it a must-watch film on the platform.
Whereas ‘Jawan’ secured 16.2 million views globally and managed to maintain the 120th position on Netflix’s list of most-watched films globally. It is Shah Rukh Khan’s highest-grossing film in Bollywood. It was directed by Atlee and released on Netflix on November 2, 2023.
